Please consider supporting The Adoptee Citizenship Act of 2019 (H.R. 2731 / S.1554). It will provide automatic US citizenship for certain internationally adopted individuals who were adopted prior to the Child Citizenship Act of 2000. We often receive calls from adoptees and adoptive parents of adult children who are unsure if they ever became US citizens and are too nervous to check with the government. There are also many stories of adults, who were adopted as infants and have lived in the US their entire lives, getting deported to their country of birth as adults.
