Hi, we are Eddy and Carlos! Our life is an open book, so please feel free to ask us any questions you have. We will always be 100% honest and want you to feel comfortable with your choices.

We are happy and proud of the life we created and share together and want so much to grow our family. Since as a gay couple, we are not able to have a biological child, we are so grateful for you to even be considering us. Eddy has two children from a previous marriage (and we are excited for you to meet them a bit later in this book!) and so as fathers, we can only imagine how emotional a time this must be. We promise to provide your child with a happy home, filled with unconditional love.

We hope to be able to go on this journey together. But no matter what you decide, you are in our thoughts and we wish you nothing but life's very best.

Our Adoption Story

As you know, we have two beautiful and amazing children from Eddy's previous marriage - Ava (12 years old and in 6th grade) and Christian (18 years old and in graduate school at Boston University studying Neuroscience!). To say we love and adore them and are incredibly proud of them would be a huge understatement. They are so excited to have a new sibling to love and spoil!

We have been building our life together and feel that it is time to take the next step and continue to spread the love and grow our family. Our story about adoption goes way back and is actually very personal and close to our hearts. Carlos was adopted himself, and his adoptive mother was adopted as well. I guess you can say adoption runs in the family. As someone who has personally been through the adoption process and been given a chance at a better life, it has been Carlos' dream to adopt a child and pay forward the love, kindness and opportunity that he was provided.

Our Promise to You

We promise that your child will feel the love of the world around them. Your child will always be loved unconditionally and given every opportunity in life to pursue their dreams and goals. We promise to be nurturing, attentive, and supportive. We hope that under our care and guidance, your child will grow to be kind, humble, happy, strong and successful. We promise to teach them to love and respect without discrimination. We will provide the best education - from grade school to university, we will make sure to nurture their talents and hobbies and will be in the front row at every event, from school plays to sport games.

Most importantly, we will make sure that your child knows who they are, where they came from and the love that their mother had (and will always have) for them. We promise to love your child endlessly and make sure they know it! We promise you that we will make you proud of your decision and this would be our greatest honor.

About Us

We met through an online dating site and corny as it may sound, it was love at first sight. Our love was immediate and so was our commitment to one another. After a brief engagement, we had the most amazing wedding where all of our friends and family came together to celebrate our love. We have been inseparable since the day we met and have only spent two nights away from each other in the six and a half years we have been together!

We love and prioritize family time above all else and are constantly creating new memories together, including with our children and doggies. We make it a priority to have family dinners and spend quality time together every evening. We work together at Eddy's company, so we have the luxury and flexibility of creating our own schedules. We know this will be so important when we are lucky enough to welcome a little one into our lives.

The moment we walk through our front door, we are greeted by our dogs - there is nothing like it! After taking care of our fur family (three dogs, two bunnies and some fish!), we like to wash off the day and get into something more comfortable (and usually cozy).

Food is a huge part of our lives so dinner prep is always a fun production. We are a team and so we either help each other with the same chore or trade off on different days. When Ava is with us, we really cherish those family dinner nights - sometimes we eat at our kitchen table but we admit, some evenings call for dinner while we binge a Netflix show.

During the weekends, we enjoy spending the day shopping and having friends over in the evening. We love going to the beach, eating out and having fun, so we always try to take advantage of the weekends and have something fun planned.

We certainly feel blessed in our lives but also know that there is one missing piece. Welcoming your baby into our world will definitely complete our love and our family.

Meet Eddy

Eddy is extremely outgoing, personable, and passionate in everything he does, whether it be his family or his work. Quite simply, he just lights up the room. He thinks he is super funny with his dad jokes and harmless pranks - as you can see, he loves having fun and laughing and wants the same happiness for those around him.

Eddy also loves all things food - probably because this is one thing that definitely can bring us all together. When Eddy cooks for the two of us, it is a buffet for 12; when he orders at restaurants, it feels like he is ordering the entire menu! Needless to say, he goes to the gym regularly to balance his love of food and believes in keeping fit and healthy.

He is definitely a go-getter and has worked hard to achieve his dreams. Eddy owns a successful business which is a cosmetic enhancement training institute and spa.
He is humble about his accomplishments, loyal to a fault, and honors any and all promises he makes. Eddy is a family man, through and through. He is an amazing father to Christian and Ava and devotes his life to creating a happy and comfortable life for his family. I have no doubt that he will be an amazing father to your child as well. He will go above and beyond to help anyone in need.

Meet Carlos

Carlos is a jack of all trades. He loves building things and making things from scratch. He is lovable and free-spirited which is heartwarming and really cheers up the room. He is full of love, honesty and support, and is my voice of reason.

He is kind, lively, competitive, and very creative. Carlos is in every way an artist! He enjoys drawing and painting, interior design, and crafting. He manages our home and is definitely the one who keeps things in order and organized.

Carlos and I work together and I am incredibly grateful to have a partner - not just at home, but at work too. He really balances me and always gives the best advice.

Carlos has helped raise Christian and Ava and considers them as his own, and has such a great, strong relationship with each of them. I cannot wait to see him become a father again. He has so much love to give!

Our Home

We live in a quiet suburban part of New Jersey. Our town is very cozy yet we are nearby to many restaurants and fun activities like iPlayAmerica, Escape Room, mini-golf, and the mall. We are only an hour outside NYC, and 30 minutes from the beach. Our home sits on an acre of land on a quiet residential street, lined with big trees and brick homes with long driveways. There are always children playing in the streets, riding bicycles or playing basketball in their driveways.

Everyone who walks into our home is greeted by our fur family (3 dogs and 2 bunnies!). We love decorating for special occasions and holidays, so our home always has a warm, festive feel! The heart of our home is most definitely our kitchen, sunroom and family room. We spend countless hours cooking, eating, laughing, doing arts and crafts projects with Ava, hosting friends and family, and everything else in between. When we have friends and family over, we like to hang out in our game room, playing cards, board games, air hockey, or shooting some pool. In the evenings, we like to end our nights by relaxing on the recliners and kicking back with a show or movie on Netflix.

About Ava

Ava is the protector in the family. She always makes sure the rules are being followed and tries to parent us instead of the other way around! She is most definitely Daddy's little girl and has a great sense of humor - she is always making us laugh with her jokes but laughs even harder when she messes up the punch line. She is a complete ham and loves the spotlight like her dad and brother - a true entertainer! She loves when Daddy Carlos helps her with her homework, or when we do arts and crafts projects together.

Ava is a total animal lover and can always be found playing with our dogs or bunnies. If it were up to her, she would have a dozen pets (at least!). She also loves reading, drawing and singing so much, that we signed her up for singing lessons a couple of years ago. It is her dream (and goal!) to audition for America's Got Talent when she turns 13.

She is a true girl's girl. She enjoys ballet and getting dolled up for special occasions, but also takes karate lessons which has certainly helped build her self-confidence and strength.
She is very well-rounded, sweet and loving, and most of all, is excited to become a big sister!

About Christian

Christian is 19 and an amazing young man - incredibly kind, intelligent and well-rounded. Christian always excelled in school and was accepted into college at 16. He graduated with his associate degree and is now studying Neuroscience at Boston University. Throughout the school year, he works night shifts as a first aid responder and ambulance driver.

Christian also has some pretty awesome talents - he taught himself how to speak 6 different languages fluently, can play any instrument and won the Our City Idol Singer singing competition. He also likes acting and played the role of Danny Zuko in a production of Grease as well as the Father from Hairspray in off-Broadway shows.

A few years ago, Christian formed his own company, which is a not-for-profit organization focused on health advocacy. They actually drafted, supported, and introduced three health advocacy bills into legislative bodies, expanded into 10 states, and have authorized training centers under the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. I don't know how he does it but we are incredibly proud and humbled by his gifts.

Christian (much like his father) loves food, cooking, and travel. The apple didn't fall too far from the tree! He has a beautiful heart and is committed to leaving a positive impact on society. He cares deeply for his little sister, Ava, and is extremely excited to welcome a new sibling to the family!

Holidays & Traditions

For us, the holidays are celebrated with family and loved ones. Our favorite time of year is Christmas time! We like to create the classic Christmas experience - we put up our tree and ornaments, drink hot cocoa, build gingerbread houses, all while singing Christmas carols!

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year to be able to spend time with both sides of our family. Carlos' mother was raised with Jewish traditions, so we embrace the Jewish holidays as well. When it snows, we build snowmen in the backyard, and run around having snowball fights. Our summers are spent in our backyard having BBQs and getting some sun at the beach. During the fall season, we go apple and pumpkin picking and get in the Halloween spirit (this is especially fun for Ava!). We also enjoy going to different corn mazes, painting pumpkins and eating candy corn! We get dressed up and take Ava trick or treating. We set up Easter egg hunts at Easter. As you can see, we love the holidays and find any excuse to celebrate!

Our Loved Ones

Our family is fun, a little crazy (in a good way!) and very diverse. We are very close with Carlos' parents, his two brothers, and our one-year-old niece, as well as Eddy's sister. We also surround ourselves with an amazing group of friends who we consider family. We believe that family consists of the people who are there for you, through thick and thin.

We like to have game and movie nights, eat, and travel together - to name a few things. We have also chosen 5 godparents, following Filipino tradition, who will help guide, support and love your child every step of the way. Everyone is so excited to welcome a new member to the family and is incredibly happy that we have chosen adoption to build our family together.
