Kelly Ann
Hi! I am Kelly Ann and it is so nice to meet you.

Dear Birth Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for considering me with such an important decision. I truly cannot imagine what you are going through right now, but I do know how much I admire your courage and sacrifice. I will keep you close to my heart as you make the right choice for your child.
I am hoping that through these pages, you will see the possibility of a loving family and wonderful life for your child. I am happy to answer any questions you may have, and I hope I get the chance to learn more about you too.

My Adoption Story

I always knew I was going to be a mother. It was something I was put on this planet to be. I just wasn't sure exactly how or when it was going to happen. A few years ago, after some soul searching, I knew I was open to starting my family in whatever way my destiny had in store for me - carrying a biological child, marrying someone with children or adopting. I talked to a ton of friends and family about their own family planning and woke up one day with the absolute clarity and certainty that I was meant to give my love and home to a baby through adoption. I can't explain it, but I have known since then that this is the right path for me.
If I am blessed enough to adopt your child, I promise to love and care for them with every ounce of my being. They will be my number one priority - always. They will never want for love, support or security. They will be raised in a warm home and community, surrounded by family and friends who cannot wait to meet them! Growing up alongside their cousins and my friends' children, they will have a wonderful childhood full of fun, laughter, adventure and joy.

Promise to You

My goal is to raise a strong, confident, thoughtful and loving child. Teaching them the values I was raised on: honesty, respect, responsibility, hard work, pride, kindness and compassion. I hope with my whole heart that I can have the same open, honest and strong bond with your child that I have with my mother. Sharing their adoption story and teaching them to be proud of who they are and where they came from, while honoring you and your sacrifice, will be a top priority.

Should you choose me to receive the greatest gift, my promise to you and your child is that they will always feel loved unconditionally, safe and secure. It would be my absolute honor to raise your child.

About Me

I am a planner by nature - so organizing get togethers, dinners and vacations brings me a ton of joy. I love having things to look forward to and am up for just about anything. Working my way through my bucket list, one experience at a time! I definitely have the travel bug - I love seeing new countries, experiencing local culture, customs and of course the food! Some of my favorite adventures were to Africa, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Ireland and Iceland. My three-week African safari was life changing!

Although it is a bit awkward to write about myself, I am going to do my best. I am funny and sarcastic (or so I'm told) and there is nothing better than making others laugh. I love all types of music and am always the first one on the dance floor. I must admit that I am a bit of a reality TV junkie - I would be totally fine if my TV only had one channel, as long as it is BRAVO!

I have a passion for home design and attention to the details. I love making my space comfortable and unique to me. When I bought my beach house, I loved decorating and even the renovations, including adding an outdoor shower! I am definitely a fixture at my local Home Goods store, ha ha.

I have worked in Public Relations for the majority of my career. I have always worked for agencies which are creative and fast paced. I am an excellent multitasker, if I do say so myself. I am a loyal and dedicated leader and have been with my current company for 15 years.

Meet Kelly Ann
Through My Friend's Eyes -To help me with the adoption process, I asked a few close friends to write letters of recommendation. I had a feeling they would be kind with their words but I was truly blown away to read what they wrote. So in trying to describe myself to you, I thought I should let the people who know me best take the lead!

"Kelly is a loving daughter, sister and aunt, a fiercely loyal friend, and a generous member of the community. She is nurturing and compassionate and cares deeply for her friends, family and colleagues."

"Kelly treats every single person in her life with the same love, selflessness, protection and loyalty. She goes above and beyond to make everyone around her feel safe and loved. Kelly shows up each and every day for the people in her life and gives them the very best of herself."

"Kelly is the rock for so many of the people in her life, offering support and guidance through both the good times and the bad. She is dependable, a woman of her word. The people in her life know they can trust and count on her no matter what. She is always there as a shoulder to cry on, the first to celebrate someone else's success or major milestone, and generous with her advice and guidance."

"I've watched Kelly build a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, gratitude and personal growth. It's a life built on the strong morals and values instilled in her by her parents and what she lives by daily."

"She has an unbelievable sense of humor and is an expert conversationalist with an amazing ability to make any get together more interesting and entertaining just by being there."

From My Friends

"Kelly's natural love for children and ability to connect easily and deeply with the kids in her life is remarkable. She has an extraordinarily close relationship with her three nephews and enjoys each and every moment she gets to spend with them."

"Her love of children was the driving force in her decision to become a volunteer at a children's hospital. Her volunteer time was spent playing games with young kids fighting cancer to give parents a chance to take a break or holding a preemie who was in need of a warm embrace. She's given so much to those kids, but to hear her tell it, she's received even more in return. Kelly is in awe of the strength, perseverance and optimism of the children, their parents and the dedicated medical staff."

"Kelly is fun and quick to find the magic and wonder in any small moment spent with a child. She has become close to my two young daughters and they jump at any chance to spend time with Aunt Kelly. In the words of my 6-year-old, Kelly loves us so much! She does love them so much, and they can feel it. My daughter once asked her, Why do we call you aunt Kelly? Without missing a beat, Kelly replied, "because I am like a sister to your mama. And this couldn't be truer."

My Home

I absolutely love my home. I have spent a ton of time decorating it, making it feel like me, making it feel warm and cozy but also functional - a place where I can live, work and entertain. My home is my happy place. And I am a so lucky that I actually have two happy places. I split my time between my beach house and my condo in the city. So, I get the best of both worlds!

It was always my dream to have my own beach house and a few years ago, I was able to make that a reality. It has been so wonderful to spend quite a bit of time there. Lined with cobblestone streets, surrounded by water and home to some of the most beautiful beaches and sunsets in the world, it is heaven on earth. With not a single traffic light, it is such a special place and community to raise kids - growing up with fresh salt air and sand between your toes as well as the best of mother nature as your backyard. I am really so, so lucky that I am able to call this magical place home.

I also love my city life! My condo is located in an energetic neighborhood, full of young families with access to public transportation, libraries, restaurants, museums, cultural centers, parks and diversity. I live near my office so it is really convenient and I am just a hop skip and a jump from my family who mostly live in the burbs.

I love entertaining - both homes have large kitchen islands that become home base for friends and family, no matter what. And I absolutely love to see everyone crowded around one space, eating, chatting and laughing. So much love is shared here!

This is Us

I am so blessed to have an incredible family and support system. We have always been super close. We all live near each other and have a strong presence in each others' lives.

My mom is my best friend - we talk multiple times a day (including cameos from her adorable pup CC, of course). We love talking Bravo shows, big fans! We see each other all the time - going to dinner, on walks, to the movies, shopping etc. We just love spending time together. People always think we are sisters, which she of course loves, ha ha. She is smart, strong and loving. She is the most fun and energetic grandma (aka Nina) I have ever seen.

Our relationship is the most meaningful in my life. She is always my first and last phone call. No matter the time. She literally cannot wait for a new bundle of joy - it is taking all her strength to not start buying all the things and helping me decorate a nursery!

My brother and I are very close - in age (18 months apart) and spirit and always have been. We share many of the same friends, we are lucky that way. Brendan is literally the funniest person I know. We have the same sense of humor and laugh constantly when we are together. I love watching him as a dad. He is so loving and present. He works so hard and is very successful. I am so proud of him.

And bonus, he married my friend and roommate from college. How amazing is that?! Jen has been extremely supportive during my adoption journey - she and her brother were adopted, and she could not be happier for me. I am very fortunate to have them both by my side.

This is Us

To say I love my nephews would be the understatement of the century. Ryan, Billy and Drew are my favorite people on the planet! From the moment they were born they stole my heart. I talk about them constantly - Ry did this, Drewbie said that - you would think they were my own kids. I would do anything for them.

I am the typical fun aunt - going on adventures, playing games, Facetiming with funny filters, making up secret handshakes, we have a blast together. I am a fixture at their sporting and school events and know most of their friends and friends' parents. Watching them grow up and having such a presence in their lives has been the greatest gift. I cannot wait to see them love on a new baby cousin one day.

That's What Friends are For

I have the most incredible friends. They are like sisters to me - not only are they my most trusted confidants, they have been my sounding boards for anything and everything going on in my life. They are some of the most fun, smart, confident and inspiring women I know. I have spent my lifetime developing strong relationships with these amazing girls and I am incredibly lucky to have them in my life.

As far as what we do together, honestly, we have done it all. We have gone on so many adventures and experienced the best the world has to offer. But when it is all said and done and you strip it all away, we just connect, we fit. Just simply being with each other on the couch, telling the same old stories over and over and laughing as if it was the first time - those are the memories and moments that mean the most to me.

When I told them I was going to start my adoption journey, they were beyond excited for me. For years, they have all encouraged me and wanted this for me and now it is actually happening. They know how much kids mean to me. I adore their children. They are woven into my life, from their births to baptisms to birthday parties, I am just Aunt Kelly. And I am excited at the possibility of being a mom and raising our kids together. It takes a village and I have the best village.

The holidays are a special time for me and my family, and always have been. Christmas was so magical in our house - as kids, we woke up at the crack of dawn but had to wait in our bedroom doorway for my mom and dad to turn on the Christmas lights and music!

Then we would race down the hallway. My parents worked so hard to give us what they could. It seems I managed to always get what I asked for. Easter was the same - waking up to a note taped to our bedroom doors, with individual messages from the Easter Bunny with clues sending us on a wild scavenger hunt throughout the house for our Easter basket.

One year, I opened the iconic chocolate bunny only to be shocked that his bottom was missing - looks like the Easter Bunny (my mom!) took a little taste the night before. We still laugh about it to this day.

It has been so fun to bring these traditions to life for my nephews - three boys on Christmas morning is absolute chaos and I love every second of it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little bit about me, my family and my life. This is a huge decision and I can only hope you see something in me that you connect with. I have so much love to give and I am 100% ready to give that love to your child.

I hope we have a chance to connect and want you to feel comfortable to ask me any questions you may have for me - I would love to get to know you too!

I wish you nothing but the best as you too start your adoption journey, I hope it is one we can go on together.
